Emily DiRuzzo is an ABC-certified prosthetist/orthotist for Hanger Clinic in Worcester, Massachusetts.
As a clinician, Emily enjoys working with patients of all ages and specializes in optimizing outcomes through advancing technologies and creative problem solving. Her clinical expertise includes cranial remolding orthoses (CRO), upper and lower limb prosthetics, and complex orthotic care. She also serves as the MPKAFO Clinical Lead for Massachusetts and is an Agilik specialist. Emily finds the orthotics and prosthetics field uniquely rewarding, allowing her to combine biomechanical principles, problem-solving skills, and creativity to support patients throughout their healing journeys. She values building long-lasting relationships with patients and their families and is committed to continually growing alongside the field as new and innovative technologies emerge.
Working with cranial remolding orthosis patients is particularly meaningful to Emily. She works closely with the craniofacial team at UMass Memorial in Worcester and finds it especially rewarding to support infants and families through each stage of treatment. She understands the challenges families face and strives to provide compassionate, supportive care throughout the process. In addition, Emily collaborates closely with upper extremity prosthetic specialists to provide localized care in Worcester and has experience treating patients with lower limb prostheses.
Outside of work, Emily enjoys traveling, thrill rides, and reading, as well as spending time with her husband and their two cats.
