John Rheinstein is a board certified prosthetist who has been caring for patients for 22 years and is passionate about healing and empowering people through improved mobility. He received his education in prosthetics from the Northwestern University Medical School Prosthetics & Orthotics Center at the Rehab Institute of Chicago. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists and chairs the Lower Limb Prosthetic Society. John has specialized experience with active, proximal level, bilateral and upper extremity amputation patients as well as immediate post-operative care. He is the co-inventor of the patented Air-Limb™. John is active in research and patient care applications of new products. He presents at academic conferences and medical institutions, publishes in textbooks and professional journals, teaches continuing education courses to physicians, therapists, and prosthetists, and trains prosthetic residents. He was awarded the J. E. Hanger Award for Innovation in 2011 and for Clinical Excellence in 2013. |
