Matthew is an ABC-certified prosthetist/orthotist for Hanger Clinic in Austin, Texas.

As an Austin native, Matthew worked in the semiconductor industry as a Diffusion Equipment Engineer for three years before choosing to pursue a career in the medical field. He considered physical therapy and, while volunteering at Christus Santa Rosa Hospital in San Antonio, TX, was exposed to the world of orthotics and prosthetics. Fascinated with the possibilities orthotic and prosthetic technology provided to patients, Matthew volunteered at MK Prosthetic & Orthotic Services in San Antonio, TX. It was then he discovered a passion for the field and the various elements that comprise O&P such as clinical assessment, patient interaction, and technical fabrication.

Fueled by the opportunity to help others regain their function and mobility, Matthew pursued his post-graduate orthotic and prosthetic education and completed a rigorous two-year residency program where he gained expansive experience. He was later promoted to Clinic Manager, and is now responsible for supervising and directing company workflow, recruiting, training, and, most importantly, patient satisfaction.
