Meyessa Ackland is an ABC-Certified Prosthetist/Orthotist who began her career with Hanger in June 2017 as a resident and has been practicing in the field since that time.
As a clinician, Meyessa provides care to a general orthotics and prosthetics population with a particular focus on geriatric patients. She has specialized training in microprocessor knee systems, Evoke® knee braces, and carbon fiber ankle-foot orthoses. She is passionate about helping patients pursue their goals and improve their quality of life, and she is dedicated to delivering highly personalized care through active listening and patient education, empowering individuals to make informed decisions and take an active role in their treatment.
Outside of work, Meyessa volunteers as a ski instructor with the Adaptive Ski Association of West Michigan and enjoys spending time outdoors hiking, camping, kayaking, and skiing.
