Limb Loss & Limb Difference Awareness Month 2024
Hanger Clinic is excited to launch the #MyNextLevel24 campaign, designed to empower people with limb loss and limb difference to embrace the “Next Level” in their life. Whether it’s a personal goal, career goal, or mental or physical health goal, Hanger Clinic is excited to support our staff, patients, and the limb loss and limb difference community at large in achieving new heights this year.
The #MyNextLevel24 campaign kicked off on April 1, 2024, as part of the celebration of Limb Loss and Limb Difference Awareness Month (LLLDAM). Limb loss and limb difference affects millions of people across the world, including every socioeconomic status, race, gender, and age.
While limb loss is caused by external factors (most commonly due to vascular disease, trauma and cancer), many people are born with a congenital limb difference. People with limb loss and limb difference often face unique challenges, and #MyNextLevel24 is focused on celebrating our community members, and the journey they take in striving to achieve their goals.
This Goal Map is a way for individuals to track goals, create strategies to achieve the outcomes they want, and celebrate their progress during the year.
My Journey, My Pace, My Next Level
Throughout the month of April, members of the limb loss and limb difference community are encouraged to post photos and videos to their social media channels to celebrate their individual achievements, goals, and milestones using the hashtags #MyNextLevel24 and #LLLDAM.
Additionally, there will be four challenges throughout the month to help keep the momentum going! Check back each Tuesday to discover the next week’s challenge.
Week 1 Challenge: GOALS
Post a photo or video sharing a mobility goal you are working towards and the actions you are taking to get there using the hashtags: #MyNextLevel24 #LLLDAM. Remember: This is your journey, your pace, your next level.
